The One Visit Crown Digital (OVC Digital)

Rhondium Dental Laboratories is excited to introduce the OVC Digital. The OVC Digital is an innovative custom-made crown and onlay laboratory service that enables dentists to prepare and place tooth coloured, full coverage restorations in one appointment without the need for a CAD/CAM system.

How the OVC works

  • At the end of the patient consultation, a quick Scan or digital image is taken of the tooth to be restored, PRIOR to tooth prepping.

  • The scan or digital image is uploaded to Rhondium Dental Laboratories with a completed prescription form. The custom-made crown/onlay is created, packaged and returned to the practice.

  • The tooth is prepared and the OVC Digital is fitted by the clinician in just ONE appointment, usually in 30-45 minutes.

The QuickConnect Anatomy Band

The new QuickConnect Anatomy Band addresses all of the issues related to creating good contact points by utilizing its “Tight Contact Tabs” and its beautiful proximal contact shape.  Creating tight contacts on large multi-surface composites or OVCs are challenging due to matrix bands separating from adjacent teeth. To address this, ensure the matrix band touches the neighboring tooth by pulling the Tight Contact Tab during the curing process.

Separator Wedges

This wedge is designed to separate. Although it has parallel sides, its rigidity increases as you push it in further. Its ski-jump tip is kind to the gingival papillae on the other side and it’s easy to hold and push in

Deep Margin Elevation Wedges

The Deep Margin Elevation Wedges (formally known as the OVC Wedge) give amazing anatomical shape and allow for great contacts when cementing crowns and large fillings.
The asymmetric shape gives superior control during the crown cementing process and are also perfect for deep marginal elevation.
